I just got a great addition to any coffee lover's Kitchen Kit. Check it out:

I'm so excited! I can boil all the water I need at once, and just pour my coffee in and go.
let's see how things go!
First Impressions
I bought my new Boil & Brew on steep and cheap. When it came it was packaged simply and it was easy to open. Just some bubble wrap and a plastic bag. It is a really simple design with only 3 pieces. I think that's a good thing, fewer things to lose. It's a stainless steel beaker with attached folding handles, a strainer sleeve that is all one piece with no moving parts, and a simple pouring lid with a small vent hole. That's about it. I like the simplicity and I'm excited that I can use it to boil the water in and not have to pour over in another vessel.
For the first usage I noticed that the handles might take a bit of getting used to. They feel a little flimsy but I'm going to believe that is so that they stay cool or cool down quickly. it boiled the water quickly and was pretty easy to maneuver and get the coffee working. when I was unboxing it the strainer insert was a little stubborn about sliding back into the beaker while it was dry but when it had water in it and was hot it worked perfectly.
The pour was great, the coffee tasted just like what I expect everyday, and it cleans up easy. So, all in all, I'd say I'm happy with it. My takeaway improvements over a normal home french press is that 1. it's not breakable like a glass one. 2. The simple design gives you fewer components to clean (or lose) and 3. Your coffee is ready more quickly and is easier to clean up and put away when you're done.
See you out there!
